It was nice to have a little lie in this morning. I love it when I work from home, not having to rush about because Ive left it all too late again due to persistant hitting of the snooze button. Not having to break the speed limits just to make up for the 10 minutes extra shuteye Ive grabbed. Not having to negotiate heavier traffic streams on the A1(M).
Did you know that if you get on the A1 M junction 8 before 6 am the traffic is just so much lighter? It seems that everyman and his dog leaves their house in North Herts at 6am and heads off in to London. Spud lorries, delivery drivers, builders, flash city types, lazy web developers
...
I start my days in the office early. It just makes sense. I start early so I can finsih early. Its win win, I miss both morning and evening rush hours this way. I once did 9 - 5 and had to leave my house at 7am just to get in work on time and wasn't getting home till gone 7pm. Mad huh? That was 10 extra hours per week stuck in traffic wasting juice, wasting precious time doing nish.
Having just finished the last mouthful of coffee and spoonful of Special K Red (very yum) I thought I'd do a little blog to help plan out what I intend to do.
Ive already spoken with the office and ironed out a few little issues, checked the emails for support stuff, checked the serves that host the websites, so thats a few jobs done already. I need to go and check out and see if there are any sponsored blog review opportunites too. I did one yesterday for some tech advertising program and earned $94 dollars for 20 minutes work, doing something that I do anyway, so win win there.
I need to check out a few sites i've been working on and see what I can do to lift them out of the SERP (Search Engine Results Pages) dungeon they are in. I also need to work on the activity partners website project too. Ive figured that if there was a way for people to easily hook up with others in their area to do things with, then that would be pretty cool - alas ive been dragging my feet and been a little lazy on it. Part of the rason i think is that lately, when im in the office i just can't get any momentum. There are too many demands on me and my time to allow me to focus on what I need to do to get it done, buts that a moan for another day; ultimately its up to me to manage myself more effectively and reduce the irritances.
Anyways, moving on - I think I'll nip out around about lunchtime and knock out a few miles on my bike. Not sure what direction I'll go in today though, its all kinda weather dependant really. If its sunny I'll head out to Shefford and come back via Arlesey, if its gloomy then I might just do a couple of circuits of the town.
I'll prolly get back at around 2 or maybe 230 dependant upon variable A or B and spend an hour or so going through emails and customer enquiries whereby at around 4pm Jordz should be back from school and taking over the telly and no doubt expecting me to to sort out a bit of dinner for him. Dad the unappreciated slave time.
Hmmn I'm suddenley in the mood for a nice bacon sarnie with brown horse that rocks. I think I'll nip out to Sainsburys and sort it out.
Have a good day ![]()
