Real Dolls - Real People

by yackyack @ 2007-04-25 - 12:13:01

I was commenting on Chyna_Doll's blog post earlier where they were talking about IA and how we could all end up with our own iRobot. It reminded me of a tv program I'd seen a while back about these Real Doll things - $8k silicon based dolls that look kinda barbieish and life like.

I looked up over at youtube.com to see if I could find the show, cos it was funny, and genuinely made me laugh. Twas like a Louis Theroux matter of fact type interview docu type thing. Alas, no joy.

I did find this character Gordon though, he was pretty upfront about his reasons. He has even posted about 7 or 8 interviews on his youtube page, where he just sits with these 2 dolls and talks about why he'd rather use them than any real woman. Seems like for Gordon life is just easier that way. I think its great that he can be so honest about his perversion. Women have sex toys after all - so where's the harm in men having them too. On the flipside perhaps Gordon needs to try and work out why he thinks its ok to sleep with them and cuddle up to them at night and stuff. Teddy bear replacement perhaps?

People are funny

:)) I knew the post was to do with you! :P

They seem like a teddy bear replacement. But more so! ;)

Ah yes, the trackback - blogs are good for linking conversations and themes in that way.

Did you view the link? Pretty bizarre, yet in some respects who could blame him either. Its clear he has major relationship inadequacies. Its easy to forget sometimes that these people with strange tastes and behaviours are human too. Damn funny though - I bet his friends take the living piss out of him - if he has any that is!

He should read a book on "How to do stuff behind closed doors and keep ones mouth shut" :DD
