Real Dolls - Real People

by yackyack @ 2007-04-25 - 12:13:01

I was commenting on Chyna_Doll's blog post earlier where they were talking about IA and how we could all end up with our own iRobot. It reminded me of a tv program I'd seen a while back about these Real Doll things - $8k silicon based dolls that look kinda barbieish and life like.

I looked up over at youtube.com to see if I could find the show, cos it was funny, and genuinely made me laugh. Twas like a Louis Theroux matter of fact type interview docu type thing. Alas, no joy.

I did find this character Gordon though, he was pretty upfront about his reasons. He has even posted about 7 or 8 interviews on his youtube page, where he just sits with these 2 dolls and talks about why he'd rather use them than any real woman. Seems like for Gordon life is just easier that way. I think its great that he can be so honest about his perversion. Women have sex toys after all - so where's the harm in men having them too. On the flipside perhaps Gordon needs to try and work out why he thinks its ok to sleep with them and cuddle up to them at night and stuff. Teddy bear replacement perhaps?

People are funny

Songs of Praise

by yackyack @ 2007-04-22 - 18:09:44

Why do people on songs of praise pull funny faces when they sing hymns.

Ok ok , I know - its albout E-Nunce-I-Ation but it still looks weird doesnt it?

Can you imagine a world where people talked to each other liked that? I think there's a great comedy sketch in there somewhere.

Lulworth cove from cliff top

(Click on the picture to see it in all its glory)

Can you believe this view? I was there last week with my daughter, its a gorgeous little spot on the south coast in Dorset.

If you have the weather in England, you don't ned no Paella, or Lasagne or Doner Kebabs, oh no. Fish and chips besides the sea side all round.

Until the clouds turn up of course ;)

Friending...

by yackyack @ 2007-04-20 - 11:03:02

So I've tried this friending thing on blog.co.uk thing.

All bar 4 have responded positively. In the sense of hitting the accept button. One has hit the deny option (something I said perhaps) 3 just didn't do nish.

Initially when I started this thing I wasn't too bothered about the community thing. I just wanted a space to sound off and vent that didn't interfere with some of my other blogs that are tightly defined around niches and themes.

The odd thing is, i've noticed that you do get into the whole 'people' thing with it all, you actually get interested in people and what they write about. I actually make it a point in my day to stop by at some peoples blogs and read what they are up to.At times I've even found that my own stuff has in some ways become secondary. No bad thing of course. A learning experience even.

Are you a friend slut? Do you take anyone onboard, or do you have to feel some kind of connection/interest? Perhaps they commented on your stuff, perhaps its meaniningless even, a bit of harmless internet silliness that has little resonance or bearing in your day to day existence. Or maybe you are a big numbers person and will do anything to get your number up.

Personally I couldn't give a stuff, Well, maybe that isn't entirely true; it's nice to be part of a group I accept that, but I'd hate to fall into some little clique trap too. That would be stifling.

The hill

by yackyack @ 2007-04-20 - 10:34:34

Heart thumps hard, legs push and fight, steadily resisting the inclines might.Sinews strained, body jars, hands grasp hard on handlebars.Pulling them in to gain some grip, sweat trickles down drip drip drip. The brow is wet, sweat stings the eye, breathing laboured, desperate sighs. Muscles ache, cursed by acid, begging them to slow, aching to be flaccid. Can't stop now, got to keep pushing, the crest now visible, beckons its cushion. Rest is promised, a drink of water, to help recover from this slaughter. Daren't quit now, so near the top, step down a gear to resist a flop Push once more and make some gain, grunt and moan to ease the pain. Ten more cycles and then I'll stop, I'm gonna make it to that hilltop.

Describing perfect days

by yackyack @ 2007-04-19 - 17:40:38

Peoples ideas of beautiful days vary -

Some like a crisp cold day where they can wrap up warm and feel a stiff breeze flow across their faces, walking briskly through a park strewn with leaves, the sun breaking through denuded winter branches.

Others might like a stroll along an empty beach first thing of a morning their feet making the first impressions in the sand, hearing the wild crashing of waves breaking upon the shore line, filtering out any background noise of lifes stresses and strains.

Others might prefer things a little warmer, the type of weather that gently bathes the skin with warmth, those first warm days of spring, that seem to make the world a brighter happier place - the streets suddenly adorned with all manner of beautiful people strolling and flirting and flexing with their shades and topless motor vehicles, whilst ambient sounds pump out through from overbassed speakers drifting through an atmosphere of well being and easiness.

Others might feel warmed by a torrential downpour, darkened skies and thunderclaps, whilst safely shielded behind their 4mm of transparent sand, cup of tea and chocolate biscuit in hand, fire gently cracking away in the hearth complimented by the sound of pitter pattering rain running down the pane creating iridescent strips of external distortion, the mind wandering, getting lost in a benevolent miasma of other worldliness.

Others might like to feel that overwhelming scorch of sun upon their skins, laying on some golden coloured beach a cool drink and a good book, the sea calm, waves gently lapping against the shoreline whilst over energised children play and shrill in the near distance, yet far away enough to be less than intrusive.

Others might like the quietness of rural winter snow. Hills and vales covered in a white blanket of pristenity set against a quiet sky of silent grey laden with snow, gently releasing its payload. The feel of the ground crisp and squeaky beneath ones feet, bushes and branches adorned in a delight of white cream shapes and clumps, like some christmas card of winter wonderland.

Do you have a perfect day? Perhaps its all of these, or none or maybe you have a few of your own?

Tree

by yackyack @ 2007-04-11 - 17:55:11

The leaves are pulled from off the tree, denuding that is bare
The wind it howls and all around small people stand and stare

The clouds roll in bleak and grey a hard time could it be
Rain and hail and brutal force it takes its toll on thee

People come with saws and axes, prepared to cut him down
The tree it stays but firmly put, its roots deep in the ground

It all looks ominous, it all looks deathly, nowhere but to turn
Landscapers, with their forks and plans, torches set to burn

Then from afar a bird does fly and nestles in the branches
Beautiful she does astound, just drawing awesome glances

She thrills and sings and warms the tree, her song it does restore
New buds they sprout and blossoms bloom, he's proud again once more

Embracing beauty where she sits, dancing in his fingertips
Soothed by warmth and gentle breeze, his soul restored the tension eased

Male Grooming part 2

by yackyack @ 2007-04-05 - 21:13:08

I was in one of those funny moods today. Few quid in the sky i decided to go out and treat meself to a few bits. I bought a few new tops and a couple of pairs of those trendy shorts. A pair in blue and a pair in beige.

I also bought a pair of tweezers some champneys facial scrub and some veet wax strips. My cheeks bless em, have these little blonde hairs on them which are starting to get a little darker. Now, I dont really want to look like some Irish werewolf, so I thought I know, as I cant shave it off (if you do this it comes back with a vengeance Im told) I'll get some of that veet stuff, like immac. So I goes to Sainsburys and picks up a pack of facial wax strips, the type used by women with beards and moustaches.

Ouch, well suffice to say I used them and am now sitting here with red raw cheeks and a not so nice little glow to my face, in fact, my face is sore. If i touch it its really tender.

Do women get all that? I complain about being a bloke sometimes, you know, having to shave, pluck nose hair that sort of stuff, but fuck, if i was a bird and had to use that veet stuff on my face or my bits and pieces then....jesus I mean really life is just too short for all that nonsense.

Sweet Cherry Pie

by yackyack @ 2007-04-01 - 20:02:26

She sits there a steaming, her aroma her power
Her taste in the air, an indelicate flower
Tantalising reds, with a crisp crumbly pastry
Juicy hot currants, oh yum so tasty
A sprinkling of sugar, a top of her face
A pie to behold, a sweet coup de grace

If you do bite her, watch how you chew
Her taste is so sweet, one bite may not do
She'll fall out your mouth, you'll suck her back in
Her sweet yummy juices will fall down your chin
You'll not want to share, and neither will care
That sweet cherry pie, you'll clean your plate bare
